KANSAS LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING CENTER
Annually, more than 400 municipal, county, and state law enforcement officers from every Kansas county receive basic training for certification in the center's 14-week course. Nearly 4,200 experienced officers undergo specialized training each year.
KANSAS FIRE & RESCUE TRAINING INSTITUTE
In fiscal year 2007, nearly 9,000 emergency responders from 95 Kansas counties, 31 other states and two countries completed basic, advanced, or certification programs at the institute, part of KU Continuing Education.
KUMC ALLIED HEALTH AND NURSING CLINICAL PRACTICE SITES
Students in the KU schools of nursing and of allied health -- including future dietitians, occupational therapists, nurse anesthetists, and others -- take practical, clinical training with health professionals in 67 Kansas counties.
PRACTICING KANSAS PHYSICIANS WHO COMPLETED TRAINING AT KU
Physicians trained at the KU School of Medicine practice in 87 of the 105 counties in Kansas.
